Heart Failure

Heart Failure is a condition in which heart fails to generate enough cardiac output to fulfill normal metabolism of body.

Heart failure due to Ischemia (CAD) in which only functional abnormality occur like either –

  • Systolic (fails to contract heart with EF is low) or
  • Diastolic (fails to relax heart with EF is normal)

Such condition is the absolute indication of our Heart failure Reversal Programme (HFRP). Here heart failure must be in compensated state. In heart failure due to chronic Ischemia, Heart muscles are alive mostly but their performance either contraction or relaxation get hampered (Habernating Myocardium). If we increase perfusion to myocardium, Heart Failure get reversed.

Contraindications –

  • HF due to structural abnormality like Cardiomyopathy, volvular heart disease, Congenital heart disease etc.
  • Acute heart failure due to heart attack.
  • Decompensated heart failure.
